Fundraising

Bambigi is a not for profit registered charity. If you would like to make a donation go to our Go Fund Me page. Our fundraising started small, with Piper deciding to have a garage sale in January 2018. Since then so many businesses, organisations, sporting clubs, schools and individuals have helped us out. Thank you to all of them. Scroll down to find out more about our fundraising, partners and supporters.

We provide engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services to private and public sector clients. GHD's RAP shows they are committed to reconciliation and to making a  positive difference in a practical way. Piper was able to go to Canberra for the launch of the plan and accept the donation.

Swimming NSW - term 3 and 4 2018

Piper is a member of the Griffith Swimming Club and travels around NSW to compete in meets of other clubs in the Swimming NSW network. In 2018 Bambigi entered in a MoU with Swimming NSW. They agreed to fund the 2018 term 3 and term 4 enrollments of the Bambigi kids. That was a huge help and meant we could continue to program in 2019. Hopefully we will soon have Bambigi kids travelling with Piper to Swimming NSW meets.

Raffles and Chocolate

One of our first big fundraisers was the classic raffle. On weekends Piper and Lane sold raffle tickets for hampers made up of donations from local businesses. In the lead up to Easter we also got some Cadbury's chocolate fundraising boxes. The raffle and Cabury's boxes raised close to $2000 for Bambigi. A big thanks to all the local businesses who donationed items for the raffle including Griffith Central, GB sports, Griffith Aboriginal Medical Service, Will Carter Art, Griffith City Cinemas, Eclipse, Gorgeous By Nature, Rhino Rage, Under the Archers, Collins Books, Star Bowling, Starfish Florists, Mia Casa, Seeds of Wellness, Hip Digs, Total Leisure, Better Electrical, Ivory and Ash, Trim It.

Other Donations

We have received other donations outside our big events. Local businesses Leading Edge donated $100 while Fox & Co Hair Studio donated beach towels for the kids. Zoggs donated swimmers, caps and over 300 pairs of googles while AUSTSWIM and Swimming NSW donated bags and caps. All this helped make sure our kids looked deadly and had the gear they needed to get through lessons.

Schools

Some of Griffiths schools have helped Piper raise funds for Bambigi. Griffith North Public School, the primary school both Piper and Lane attended, raised $335 for Bambigi. Piper's current school, Murrumbidgee Regional High School raised a huge $869 for Bambigi on Harmony Day 2018 and an even bigger $1360 on Harmony Day in 2019.

Garage Sale - January 2018

When Piper Started Bambigi she hoped to raise enough money to fund swimming lessons for a few Aboriginal kids. The easiest way for her to raise money was to have a garage sale. She raised $180 in one day. This was just the start.
